M5 to be a Series Championship in 2007
the Millennium are pleased to announce that the M5 section of the Millennium Series is now to have series points and will produce a series champion.
After listening to a small number of teams who wished to play all 5 M5 legs and fight it out for an overall championship honour we can see no real reason not to accommodate this wish . Although the M5 is designed to accommodate host country 5 man teams who wish to experience the big event without having to play all 3 days and play teams of a similar experience , it was seen that as the event will still self seed into 3 divisions on the Sunday that a championship points system would not interfere with the general principle of the M5. With the M5 proving very popular at all events so far being sold out, spots for London are going fast so it is hoped by announcing this change early that those teams can still make arrangements and play for the series title in 2007.
Relax on Div2 / M5 Rosta lock:
It has been decided that to assist a number of teams to play more events, that teams from Division 2 can now drop down to M5 if required due to lack of players at an event and then move back up again at the next event.
In addition Players in Division 2 can apply to play for another division 2 or M5 team at an event so long as the team they first registered with is not playing at that event.
Rosta locks for CPL ,SPL and Div1 remain in place without alteration.
